My husband Justin and I (my name is Carrie) live in northern Ohio on a small hobby homestead. Our children are grown, and we now are blessed with grandchildren. We grow alot of our herbs and flowers that are used in our products. We raise chickens, have gardens and do as much as we can for ourselves. We love supporting local farms and small businesses (both local and online). Small businesses are the backbone of our great country. Our journey started several years back when we felt lead by God to start being more self-sufficient, using herbs for sickness when possible and just living a simpler life. I have a degree in social work and counseling. I am also a certified naturopathy practitioner and herbalist.  I am always learning, and I spend endless hours creating products that are just right for myself, my family and all of you. 

Our products are made from organic ingredients, unrefined oils and grass fed and finished tallow. We slow infuse our oils to extract as much of the good stuff out of the plant as possible. We take pride in making quality clean products at an affordable price. 
I struggle with several auto immune diseases which lead me to search out clean products without harmful ingredients. I wanted products with all natural simple ingredients like our ancestors used. My search didnt get far before I realized how hard it was to find simple clean and affordable products. I also discovered a love for herbalism. Our ancestors used common herbs and plants for their needs so why can't we? I felt like I was on a mission to educate others and offer clean affordable products.  Combine it all together and that is how Back To Our Roots was born.
